East Coast go into battle with Poverty Bay

Whetu Haerewa has named his first squad in charge of Ngati Porou East Coast today for their pre-season match this Saturday , 31st May at Enterprise Cars Whakarua Park against Poverty Bay.

The honours over the past few years are quite even with East Coast losing the pre-season matches while going on to win the Heartland Matches .

With a relatively new squad Haerewa looks to be looking towards the future of East Coast Rugby and they will have a stern test in their first outing when they face a well seasoned Poverty Bay side.
